Misiones is a subtropical province in northeastern Argentina, famous for the thundering Iguazú Falls and the Jesuit Missions UNESCO sites. The climate is hot and humid year-round, with rainy summers from December to March perfect for boat rides under the falls at Iguazú National Park, while the drier winters from June to August let you hike the 1.5-kilometer trail to the Devil's Throat viewpoint with fewer crowds. In winter, you can also explore the 17th-century San Ignacio Miní ruins without the summer heat, where the stone carvings tell stories of the Guaraní people.
