Corinthia is a region in southern Greece, straddling the Isthmus of Corinth with a Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers (around 90°F/32°C) and mild, rainy winters (mid-50s°F/13°C). It's famous for the Corinth Canal, a 4-mile engineering marvel that cuts through the isthmus, and the ancient ruins of Corinth where you can see the Temple of Apollo and the remains of Roman-era shops. In summer, you can take a boat tour through the canal or windsurf on the Corinthian Gulf, while winter is the best time to hike the trails of Mount Kyllini without the crowds.
