Hotels in Hardap, Namibia
Hardap is a region in southern Namibia, famous for its massive Hardap Dam-the largest in the country-and its prime fishing and water sports. The climate is semi-arid: blazing hot summers (over 100°F/38°C) are perfect for jet-skiing and boating on the dam, while mild winters (around 70°F/21°C) draw birdwatchers to spot flamingos and herons along the reservoir. You can camp near the dam in summer to beat the heat on the water, or visit in winter for a quieter escape with great hiking in the surrounding hills.
