Hotels in Folgefonna National Park, Norway
Folgefonna National Park in western Norway is famous for its massive glacier-the third largest in the country-and the deep, blue waters of Hardangerfjord. The climate is cool in summer (50-60°F / 10-15°C) and snowy in winter, so you can hike to the glacier tongue in July or strap on skis at the Folgefonna Ski Center from November to May. In warmer months, kayak past waterfalls cascading into the fjord, and in winter, try ice climbing on the glacier's edge.
