Planning a road trip to the heartland means factoring in where you park. In Kansas City, many hotels have got you covered with free on-site parking, turning a potential hassle into a simple part of your journey. From properties near Kansas City International Airport (MCI) to those just north of the downtown loop, you can find a place to stash the car without digging into your travel budget.
The best options are spread out to match different itineraries. If you have an early flight, look at airport hotels like the Atwell Suites, which sits just 2 km from MCI and offers a free shuttle. For exploring the Power & Light District or catching a show at the T-Mobile Center, the Aloft by Marriott North Kansas City places you 7 km from the action while providing free parking. La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Kansas City Beacon Hill offers easy access to Union Station (1.7 km) and the Legoland Discovery Center, making it a solid pick for families. Expect to pay anywhere from budget-friendly rates under $100 to around $150 for a suite with a full kitchen.
The bonus is that these hotels don't just offer a place to park; they pack in value. Expect amenities like indoor pools (Wingate by Wyndham), fitness centers, and complimentary breakfasts (Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kansas City Airport). A key tip: reserve directly or check for last-minute deals to secure the best rate, and always confirm if your hotel charges for parking even if they advertise 'free' in their title-most of these properties include it in the room rate, but it's a quick check that can save you money.
